A fire in the long room, a walk down the lane, or the small card room in the coach house. The third of those is optional and kept apart from everything else.
On the estate
The long room stays open until half past ten with a fire lit from October. There is no bar as such, but somebody will pour you something. The residences are quiet from half ten because the walls are thick and the guests are usually tired from walking.
Down the lane
Halbern is fourteen minutes on foot, mostly downhill and mostly unlit past the second grid. Take one of the torches from the gatehouse. The last bus back up is 00:20 and the taxi rank is on the square.
The coach house
One room with three tables and its own outside door, open from seven, eighteen and over, with photographic identification checked every time. Full details, hours, and floor rules are on the Gaming page.
